Yoan Mladenov is a key figure in the management of Inter Expo Center (IEC) in Sofia, the largest and most modern congress and exhibition center in Bulgaria.
He holds the position of Deputy General Manager and Director of Events & MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions). In this role, he oversees the strategic planning and operational implementation of all events held on the territory of the complex – from major international exhibitions and fairs to corporate conferences and congresses.

Yoan has made a significant contribution to establishing IEC as a leading destination for business tourism and events in the Southeastern Europe region. His responsibilities include managing the sales, marketing and event management teams, as well as providing high-quality service and innovative solutions for the center’s clients.

Thanks to his many years of experience in the industry (about 20 years and over 5000 implemented events including concerts, festivals, large conferences and exhibitions), he is known as an expert in the field of MICE services, who successfully attracts and implements large-scale national and international events.

He has a bachelor’s degree in “International Tourism”, as well as numerous postgraduate expert specializations and certifications, including an aMBA.
He is a member of several NGO’s with different goals and missions, and is currently a member of the Management Board of the Bulgarian Convention Bureau. He played a major role in its establishment and formation, as well as working for the affirmation of the destination Bulgaria on the map of the MICE industry.
