Diana Bancheva is the Managing Partner of ProActiveSolutions. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the American University in Bulgaria and earned a Master’s degree in Information Resources Management from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. She is currently a PhD research fellow in Electronic Media at the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.

She has over 20 years of experience in the planning, organization, and delivery of events—regional, national, and international – corporate, scientific, cultural, sports, and private—across more than 50 locations in Bulgaria and abroad. She also has extensive experience as a researcher, trainer, and consultant in the fields of information and data resources management, as well as in the implementation of sustainable development standards in tourism.

Diana coordinates the national research initiative SMARTOURISM.BG focused on good practices and challenges related to knowledge management in tourism in Bulgaria. She manages the platform HORECA.EDUCATION.

Currently, she is involved in  the modernization of vocational education as a member of the team at the Ministry of Education and Science responsible for developing curricula and programs for the implementation of the new State Educational Standard for the profession “Organization of Events”.
